International Yoga Day (21st June, 2018)

“Yoga is a light, which once lit, will never dim. The better your practice, the brighter the flame.”

Yoga is an ancient Indian physical, mental and spiritual practice which is the union of body, breath and mind. Recognizing its universal appeal, on December 11th 2014, the U.N. proclaimed June 21st as the International Yoga Day.

Yoga day was celebrated in our school and students from std 5th to 8th participated. The program was conducted by Mrs. Malati Jadhav, art of living teacher, who conducts programmes for children. Sister Principal welcomed her and her volunteer with a floral bouquet. She began with warm up exercises and then according to the national schedule conducted to the yoga asanas Like Ushtrasan, Vajrasan. The Children performed all the asanas as Malati teacher described them. Vote of thanks was given by Joseph sir and the program ended with a prayer.
